The cottage makes an ideal base for people to enjoy the vast array of walks and other leasure activities this area has to offer.

Grasmere lake itself is one of the most famous walks to go on, which is fairly flat all the way around.

Or for those looking for a bit more altitude we have Silver How, Alcock Tarn, Helm Crag, Loughrigg and Easdale Tarn. All of which are started from Grasmere.
